Dress- Floral Maxi Sugar Lips / Necklace- Tiny Devotions Mala Beads / Sunglasses- Coach / Shoes – Miz Mooz Wooden Sandals from HauteLook
I spent the 3-day Memorial weekend slowing down. After two busy years of graduate school, nose to the grindstone – I feel like my soul is finally waking up as it’s warming up here in Chicago.
I got to sport my brand new beautiful floral maxi dress I got from Sugar Lips Apparel with a pair of wooden sandals from Miz Mooz I’ve been holding onto since I snagged them on HauteLook clearance last winter. I felt bohemian chic…and I wish I had more pictures of this gorgeous dress but I had some camera issues! (Don’t worry, I have a feeling I’ll be wearing this dress so often you’ll be sick of it!)
Strawberry Rhubarb Margarita / Ralph plopped in front of the AC / Gorgeous hot pink peonies on a neighborhood walk / Stocking up on junk food before playing Epic Mickey on Wii (nerd alert!)
I spent the weekend taking it slow, catching up on everything I’ve put off… meandering around the neighborhood, playing video games, catching shows & eating bad junk food but totally loving it!
I also caught a comedy show over at Second City, had to buy rescue flip flops (apparently wooden sandals are hard to break in…they like to break you despite their all-around gorgeousness) and got to spend some time with friends and Ralphie-pug.
Oh…and my inner geek came out. I finally caught up on an awesome Martha Beck book and got to play Epic Mickey on Wii (I’ve had the game for almost a year with no play time!). I also realized that another season of My Fair Wedding on Netflix! That being said I’ll be in the air-conditioned cave all week swooning over David Tutera’s amazing taste and applying for my dream job in amazing new cities…more on that lata 😉
