This is been on my mind all day. I struggle to find the words to express the feeling as my heart sinks every time I remember that awful time in history.
I didn’t think I was going to say anything, I originally opted to spend the day in quiet reflection, wondering what a blogger on frugality and fashion could offer on such an important and poignant event in our lives. I am no scholar, no poet, but I can ask that we not only remember, we take action.
I hope we can all come together to make sure our nation’s first responders are taken care of, and as we move forward from this 10th anniversary, we ensure that we take care of those who bravely took care of the victims on that horrible day.
Most people ask that we never forget that fateful day, but let’s not forget that this act of terrorism is still killing the people who fought the hardest, who gave the most.

If you know of any reputable charities that can help support the families of 9/11 victims and the first responders, please share- I’d like to make a contribution.
I am constantly reminded about all the firefighters do on an every day basis, not just is events as bad as those of 9/11. People tend to forget that they really do risk their lives every single day so that we can be safe.
You can usually find all sorts of events going on to support firefighters from the local Fraternal Order of Firefighters in your area. I know the our order has got events going on every few months to help raise money.
