There is one way that I can make going to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription better, and that’s a walk through the beauty aisle for a quick session of #TreatYoSelf. They say with the right lipstick, you can accomplish anything, and for $6 or less, I’m often willing to make that bet!
I recently posted on how you can manage your medications and sanity with the CVS Pharmacy app, but if you want to get even more mileage from the app, you’ll want to utilize their ExtraCare program. Here are some of my favorite features:
You can easily clip coupons without having to lug paper around or remember your print-outs from your last shopping trip, by saving some of your favorite deals in the ExtraCare program to your phone. Simply scan your phone when you’re checking out and you can see how much you’ve saved!
Using the app, you can save on beauty products, along with vitamins, skin care, first aid, seasonal items and personal care to restock your medicine cabinet and beyond.
I am a fan of drugstore beauty items, it allows me to try new things without busting my budget. I also like to swap out my products seasonally but tend to stick to brands I like- like Burt’s Bees, Aveeno, Alba and Revlon. So, as the season changes, I like to go from light moisturizers to thicker formulations for deeper hydration, in the winter, and swapping out lip colors from pinks in the summer to deep berries and metallics in the winter switch things up.
The more I shop beauty, I’ll get more deals in the future that are tailored for my tastes. By scanning my CVS ExtraCare barcode in the CVS Pharmacy app, I can rack up savings during checkout, and also help teach the app what I’d want to save on later. Win-win!
Shop for your essentials online via the CVS Pharmacy app and enjoy free shipping on orders over $49. Or, if you’re looking to see if a particular product is available at your local CVS Pharmacy, the app will check the store inventory for you.
So, this isn’t beauty per-say, but I love printing photos. In the digital age, I like to go analog on occasion- especially when it comes to sending thank you notes, a printed photo of the memories makes the gesture even more genuine.
Plus, I like to always have photos on hand to send to my less tech-savvy relatives so they aren’t left out if they aren’t on Facebook! Printing photos is easier than ever when you can use an app to print directly from your phone and pick up your prints when you make a CVS run.
Other times of the year- I find that I like to refresh my beauty routine seasonally, and I also like to refresh some of the photos in my cube at work too. Luckily, with the app, I can easily do both.
