This month I’ll be heading to the west coast for a week for a family wedding and…a trip to Disneyland! I cannot wait to visit with my Dad and see our pugs- Bailey, Kahlua and Martini (and take bets on how much weight they’ve gained since Dad loves to spoil them!) I hope to offer some fun giveaways on the blog and brainstorm my next big project (since I quit my job, woo hoo) while preparing for a frugal holiday season and bracing myself for winter!
Nice job on your September goals. 🙂 Have fun at DisneyLand. Good luck on your October ones.
Thanks! My goal for Disneyland is to stock up on fun pictures, not junk! I have a penchant (read: unhealthy adoration for) Vinylmations and I realize they're stupid collectibles, take up space and are WAY too pricey, but yet- I love the darn things! I just quit my job so I have to be on good behavior!
Great job on your September goals and good luck with Octobers!
Way to go on your Sept. goals. You kicked butt. Good luck in October.
I try to write down my goals–across all different areas–every 6 months. It keeps me focus short-term while thinking about the future!
Totally! I didn't put *all* of my goals on here, some of my personal ones like with money, my career, etc. I keep to myself, but I love publishing most of them since they keep me accountable and provide me with some solid milestones!
Looks like you did good!
I admire you for making monthly goals! I made new year's resolutions way back in January that I'm working towards, but the idea of making smaller, achievable monthly goals seems like a great way to be productive and keep moving in the right direction. Plus, when achieved they give a sense of accomplishment and motivation to keep pushing on! Since October is still very new, I going to make a list of goals that I want to accomplish and stick them on my fridge..that way I see them and am reminded of them constantly.
I agree- it's great to have big goals, but I have heard the best way to ensure they come to fruition is to break them down into smaller goals that can be done quarterly or monthly, or even to set up complimentary goals that will help propel the big ones! I have post it notes around my room and I also blog about my goals to ensure I stay on top of it, since I post an update at the end of the month!
Putting goals on the fridge is a good idea- I've had friends post them on their bathroom mirror to ensure they see them upon waking in the morning and showering at night! 🙂
Good job, Shannyn! I have to admit that I was really doubting your ability to eat that much fruit and veggies. 🙂 I'm glad you were able to prove me wrong.
The link up will be open for the rest of the week if you want to join in.
I need to add yoga to my goals soon! I need something relaxing *and* exercise. Gotta get back into my running routine first.
How was the conference??
OH MY GOD! Does this possibly mean I'll possibly get to see you?!?
Love your wardrobe inventory idea. Take time to mix and match pieces, too, because you might come up with some fun combinations that you never thought of before.
Did you check with the red cross – I have a couple blood centers within a few miles of me
