Just to Say “Thanks”

April 25, 2011

I had a little bit of “stress overload” this weekend.  I’m managing paths between the of doldrums graduate school and the unconventionality of entrepreneurship and non-academic learning.  I’m attempting to navigate the well established expectations of the institution, with innovating and becoming more anti-establishment in my personal life.

Needless to say- on Saturday I was pretty overwhelmed.  I seem to be simultaneously moving in two opposite direction and I’m not sure if the rigors of academic life or the unconventionality of my life goals is stressing me out more.  It’s amazing how both conformity and non-conformity can just equally strenuous!

That being said- Easter was awesome.  I want to thank you all again for being readers, and participants in not just this blog- but my attempts to live my dream life.  By reading this blog, commenting, sharing and contributing- you are making my goals a reality.   I had a dream to get a pug- your support of the Rescuing Ralph fundraiser made that rescue effort possible.  Your comments helped me generate $26 for relief efforts in Japan with ShelterBox.

Coming up next, will be a fundraiser in honor of my dear friend Kassie who passed away last year- see my blog post about her here.  My goal is to raise $500-$1000 for the foundation that enabled her to meet her dreams, and hopefully we can eventually establish a scholarship in her name- but we can’t even begin that process without first garnering the financial support to the foundation.

So again- THANK YOU for being a part of my FrugalBeautiful journey.  Your support makes a world of difference to me-  it is building a community that gives me a reason to get up in the morning, the passion to live my best life, and the focus needed to make it possible for others.   You have brought me out of a winter of my own life- and into the beauty the world has to offer- Happy spring!
