If you’ve turned on HGTV at least once in the past year, you are probably just as obsessed with Chip and Jo as I am. The hosts of Fixer Upper have sparked a new love for DIY-ing, from refurnishing hardwood floors to creating rustic centerpieces. Not only has this ignited a new passion of mine, but is has also saved me some serious cash.
By creating new décor items with my own supplies, I’m no longer spending an exorbitant amount on an overpriced mason jar-turned-chandelier (we’ve all been there). These are my favorite DIY projects that will make your home look like it’s straight out of an Anthropologie magazine without the price tag.

Do you enjoy DIY projects or would you spend the extra money to purchase something ready-made?
I can go either way, depending on that effort and time I need for a craft. I love painting and photography crafts, but I’m still improving upon my woodworking abilities! Those floating shelves are next on my list. Where’s my hammer?
