The Vacations Lives On: Creating My Own Sunshine Into Fall
I have what some would call “winter anxiety disorder.” I’m not even kidding. Whenever I started to feel the weather turning, and someone would remark about how lovely fall is, I have a pessimistic anti-winter reflex that always must retort with a shudder…
“It’s just one season closer to winter.”
Yup, I hate winter so much that it’s nearly ruined all of the other seasons. I have travelled quite a bit this year in order to get the most out of the warm weather, sunny beaches and bathing suits as the primary dresscode. Yes, I’m sad it’s coming to an end, so when BIC® Soleil® approached me to talk about how I create sunshine in my life and try their BIC® Soleil® Glow® Razor, I came up with an idea…
The sunshine shrine. Yup, screw you winter. I hate you, so so much. The skies have been gray due to the remnants of Hurricane Patricia heading north, so it was extra nice to print my favorite pictures of my favorite sunny destinations- Puerto Vallarta, Orlando, Panama City Beach and Palm Springs.
What better way to make things colorful than neon dinosaurs that double as succulent planters, and some of my favorite travel photos from sunny destinations, affixed with colorful washi tape.
The colorful rainbow hotel of The Saguaro, Palm Springs & the last sunset from our trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico…it gives me hope that winter isn’t forever. I friggin hate winter.
BIC® Soleil® Glow® Razors are great for travel, so you’ll have a fresh razor to be bikini ready when you hit the beach- and with a retail price of $6.99 for a three pack you can afford a fresh set!
Though it’s disposable, the COMFORT SHIELD® head evenly distributes pressure, glides and helps protect your skin from irritation. 3 flexible blades and a rubber grip with pivoting head deliver superior comfort during your shave so you can soak up your sunshine without irritation or surprises!
I currently don’t have any sunny destinations planned for the rest of 2015 or into 2016, so I hope that posting up pictures of sunnier days around my workspace will ward off my localized dread of winter. As we bundle up in thick coats and treaded boots, a girl can at least dream of tropical locales and piña coladas, right?
