Dude you guys, I am so friggin’ happy. I’m pretty sure my glee is like, sunshine bright, neon-yellow, retina burning happiness that comes along with this kind of work. I started FrugalBeautiful less than two months ago and I’ve gotten to write about all kinds of fun stuff I love, but doing this fundraiser to help the Northern Illinois Pug Rescue has been by far the coolest thing I’ve typed up.
You wanna know why? Because you, my awesome readers have helped us collect, thus far, $249.99 towards our $450 goal! We are almost there!
I realize that times are tight- but for the price of a pack of gum, collectively- we can have a HUGE impact. My goal in this fundraiser is to complete the goal through microgiving- One click. One dollar. If we can hit that shiny “SHARE” button and get other people to donate just $1, which is a do-able amount, we can hit our goal without anyone stressing about money.
I donate just $1 a month to LoveDrop– it isn’t a lot, but let me tell you- it feels GREAT when at the end of the month I can see that dollar at work as part of a “bigger give.” Last month, many people donated small amounts. It resulted in over $13,000 donated to a family who needed a service dog for their children.
I want people to donate to Japan, so please- if you can only give a dollar to help the people, do so. Lots of people, giving just a moment of time and single dollar will make a huge difference.
If I was more technically adept, I would capture Ralph’s adorable essence on film so you’d get to see the pug who inspired it all, but honestly, this clip should show you why pugs are worth rescuing:
Yes, Ralph is being trained as a nanny for my future children. 😉
Dude, that clip is so ridiculous I cannot stop laughing. Youtube, I love you.
I’m pretty sure my heart just exploded- that was ADORABLE…he picks flowers? AWWWWW!
I love Jenny the pug!
The link below is one of my favorite pug videos!! Take a look!
