Happy Sunday everyone! After a very, frustrating run, I came home to take a big gulp of cold, clean water to refresh myself with. Clean water is always on tap and taken for granted here in the United States, but when you start to think globally, you appreciate even the simple joys of a post-workout drink of aqua.
Today’s run really sucked but it put things into perspective. Just as I started to get all contemplative about the run itself, we got another donation for my birthday charity: water fundraiser! It was like a cool drink for my tired soul as we crossed the $2k mark!
If you would have asked me a year ago, when I did that first little fundraiser to rescue my pug Ralph on the blog, if we could raise over $2,000 in less than a month here on FrugalBeautiful I would have been totally astonished. I probably would have laughed- back then, even $700 blew my mind and made me all teary-eyed and gleeful. Now at over $2,000 I’m so thankful and astonished, but one thing is for sure…
So here’s what I’m going to do- I will do anything to hit this goal and want to make it a win-win for y’all. If you want to help out but also need a little promotion for your blog or small business, I’ve got a deal for you.

I’m serious people. I want this fundraiser in the can, I want it DONE. If you have any other fundraising ideas, let me know. Short of selling body parts (we just don’t have time for that people!) I will sell up every available space I can in the online world.
I don’t know if you’ve ever been really, really hungry for a goal- but if you have, you know how much every participant, every donation is appreciated. It doesn’t matter if it’s $1, $5, $10- thank you to everyone who has donated and who will, you matter and you count. THANK YOU.
Update- we hit our goal. Boom baby.
I’ve just headed back to see if you hit your target and seen that you did! WELL DONE, such a lovely idea x
