The Work-It-Out Workout With Puma

August 7, 2013

The following post is sponsored by FitFluential LLC on behalf of PUMA. All opinions are my own.

The awesome folks at PUMA sent over the ribbed performance tanktech performance wear compression pants, and Formlite XT Ultra Shoes in order for me to craft a workout and try them out.

Puma Shoe Review

A bit about the clothes- I tested them out for a jog and to do some post run activity (see below) to build muscle tone and to avoid injury with some much needed stretching and cross training.

The performance tank is soft and flowy, and perfect for humid summer days when you just feel like you need to breathe.  The tech performance compression tights are like a second skin without being see thru (you know what I’m talkin’ about!) They’re sheer but opaque, and completely lined with little grippies which keep them from riding up.  Once you adjust to putting them on (much like putting on patterned tights, rolling these on need to be intentional).

The shoes are really lightweight- so not something I’d recommend for distance running if you have fickle feet like myself, but they’re ideal for cross training, heading to yoga or doing a low impact activity if your feet tend to respond poorly to changes in pronation.   The compression tights were like a second skin and totally comfortable on.  They’ve got the Puma styling we love with lightweight fabric and breathability.

If I could describe this entire outfit from head to toe, it’s breathability and flexibility!

PUMA Fitgear Review

There are a lot of great fitness bloggers out there who do plenty of workout plans for their readers to pour over.  I know that for most of us though, myself included, we want a few things from a workout-  to keep it simple, to look as fabulous as possible and to help us reach our own fitness goals.  The problem with most workouts though, is that we simply don’t do them.

With busy lives, families, work and any sort of fitness we can squeeze in (for me it’s running several days a week) the thought of adding more work to our workdays or workouts is just daunting- that’s why I’ve crafted the “Work-It-Out” workout.  This is intended for any times you’re dog tired and need to stay limber, active, work out the kinks and stiffness you feel post work out or post work day, and do just enough to keep yourself limber, tone your muscles and feel loose and fabulous.

My goal for any workout you do is that it shouldn’t feel like WORK. You do enough of that- have fun with this workout so you look and feel great!

Work It Out Workout Plan

Squats= act like you’re sitting in an invisible chair.  Modified pushups mean, put your knees down or head to the stairs if you’re still building strength. These are spinal rolls and here’s  how to do a reverse crunch and yes, the love-hate-love plank.

This workout is intended to combat the day to day stresses on your body without adding more work to your plate. If you struggle to find the time to cross train, make stretching a habit to combat the strain of daily sitting and hunching over at desks, commuting and computer browsing.
