I don’t think I’ve ever been so exhilirated for spring in my entire life. Everything about spring is a breath of fresh (warmer) air- including the fact that you can retire the bulky sweaters, dark color and cultivate your wardrobe with some fresh, vibrant color! A great way to kick off spring is with new shoes that are on-trend and brighten up some staple pieces you have.
Easter is coming, and Payless ShoeSource just got their spring line in- and there were so many cute styles to choose from in flats, pumps and wedges…and for you California folks, they had sandals too (jealous!). I stopped in and picked up a these gorgeous watercolor pumps, which were nice and comfy for my Easter Sunday attire.
If you’re living in the part of the country that doesn’t feel very “springy” yet, as you can tell from my photo- the bulbs are just sprouting, you can pick up some color in your wardrobe to make up for it. Traditionally, someone in the family hosts Easter brunch- I picked up a gorgeous hyacinth from my grocer, it makes a great hostess gift- especially if the landscaping hasn’t quite thawed out yet!
For new spring accessories, I always try to sprinkle in new pieces to freshen up my wardrobe. I headed to Payless with a $50 budget to see what pieces would get me the most excited to sport on Easter Sunday and beyond. I had enough to buy a pair of no-show rose footie socks (which are great if you’re worried about breaking in a pair of shoes, but they’re cute too!) and a second pair of patent pink pumps- all for around $50 to fit my budget for the season.
Check out the spring styles at Payless for some colorful pumps or some functionally fun flats- you’ll find something for your Easter outfit, guaranteed- or check them out on Instagram and Pinterest! Happy spring everyone!
