Shopping Designer Brand on Ebay w/o Scams

June 10, 2011

For those of us who want to have a fancy designer piece or two but can’t imagine paying full sticker price, Ebay, if done right, can be an option to find pre-loved designer handbags, shoes and accessories.

I adore Wendy’s vlogs- the cinematography is great and she is just too sweet not to share! Her videos are always informative! This video is on how to buy designer brands (in this case, the ever fabulous LouBoutin pumps), and avoiding rip-offs, fakes and just all out bad deals!

    Hi Shannyn!
Wow, you're right, Wendy has a lot of great advice about how to shop on EBay! I've always been a little skeptical about shopping for designer names on EBay, since I own a genuine Louis Vuitton (Shh, don't tell the other Humbleville citizens… It was a gift!) and I decided to buy what I thought was a genuine belt to match and it turned out to be a fake. I appreciate her addressing authenticating listings with the help of the Purse Blog. I've never heard of that site, but I'll have to keep that in mind next time I feel like splurging on something fancy, as unlikely as that is!

Ya, I've been totally uneasy at the thought of shelling out the big bucks for a fake since I've seen some pretty misleading pictures and some shady sellers!

I looked at some Tiffany pieces but it's hard to tell if they're authentic even if they're used so I'm glad you found this as helpful as I did! 🙂
