My hair is already fried from months of adding pink tips and forgetting to take good care of my ends in between colorings.
I recently had the chance to review some of the new Suave Coconut Oil Infusions products, and while it touts that it can repair up to two years of damage, I really need to to help me with the last 6 months! I love having color in my hair, and will find a new salon here in Texas to have it touched up- but in the interim, I will attempt to give it some much needed TLC.
My hair was pretty dry and crunchy when I took this product for a whirl- will it live up up to the claims that it will be able to reverse 2 years of damage while not weighing my tresses down? I was ready to find out:
My findings: The smell of the Damage Repair Shampoo was great, and the lather was really silkly- it foamed up like a shave foam, and was lightweight enough to clean my hair without stripping it.
I liked the conditioner, and usually have to use a lot on my ends since they’ve been so aggressively colored and my hair is so thick/dry to begin with. Luckily the shampoo + conditioner is $2.50 at Walmart, so if you want to do a deep treatment on your tresses, you’re still frugal!
I also got to try the Coconut Oil Infusion Damage Repair Oil Treatment ($4.95 at Walmart) which is a great way to tame ends, and smooth your damp hair as it dries.
It’s light and nourishing and the price point is fabulous for the value it delivers. You can pick up all three products for about $12 at Walmart-it’s both frugal and beautiful! I like that I can experiment with my routine without having to go broke in the process. My hair felt softer and my ends were significantly less crunchy- I can’t wait to see what it’s able to do after a few treatments!

I am thinking of buying these products.
You should post before and after photos so that we can see the difference.
Thanks!
Will have to try these, I think I saw them in the beauty aisle!
I desperately need some deep conditioning since I straighten my hair. This will be good for summer too!
I wish I could say I agree with you on these products but as a stylist there is nothing good in these products. While they might not be the worst for your hair they are certainly NOT professional and cannot and will not repair true chemical and mechanical damage. Only professional product with hydrolized protein and moisture will fix the hair from the inside out. Unilever doesn’t pay for the chemistry and science behind their products to validate their claims. It’s sad but true. Like I said, not the worst (for the price) but not what you would truly find in a salon.
Love a bargain!
