I’m Planning A Trip To Panama City Beach, Florida! #PCBPOV

I’m going to Florida, baby!  I heart Florida.  It’s an eternal summer in Florida- and while the weather in Chicago has been known to be quite fickle- one can always count on a gorgeous beach to not disappoint!

I love beaches. I have been poking around visitpanamacitybeach.com to get some ideas for my upcoming trip to Panama City Beach, Florida- a gorgeous must-see destination that looks quite amazing from the pictures.  There is a lot to do- so while I want to spend some quality time on the beach with a good book and some much needed sunshine- I know I wouldn’t be doing this trip justice without some exploration.  For my three day trip, I’m going to plan on checking out the shopping (the boutiques are super cute!), the nightlife and of course, the food.

The PCB website details so many activities to explore- I’ve been looking at the various restaurants and shopping.  Obviously, there are plenty of gorgeous beaches to explore- I’m really excited that the weather will be nice this time of year to explore two of the state park beaches near Panama City Beach.  I was reading about bicycle rentals- which is a fun way to explore a new place.  I think I could easily spend a day cycling through St. Andrews Park through the preserve.

I also discovered you can rent a canoe or a kayak, which I have never done and would have to try! The only boating I’ve ever done usually involved a wedding on a yacht or sailing on a friend’s sailboat, I cannot imagine how fun it would be to explore the state park this way!  (I will also need to get a waterproof camera, I’m really clumsy!)  I love the idea of exploring while still getting some exercise in- probably to balance out all of the tropical drinks and seafood I plan on consuming…which is a lot.  I will need stretchy pants.

Dolphin Tours in Panama City Beach…. Discovering this made me giddy.

In general, there are a lot of water activities I would like to potentially try in Panama City Beach- I spotted some listings for dolphin tours or jet skiing…so just in case the food and beverage get the better of me and I can’t fit in some kayak time, I can still enjoy the water while I’m out there!

Also- food.  I love seafood.  I have meals planned.  I had to pin this crab feast for two from Bayou Bill’s.  OMG. Get in my belly!  Now, I just need someone to help me eat it…but seriously, isn’t seafood the best?  If I could I would live by the ocean again! Eek!

In scoping out the upcoming events, I found that each weekend in Panama City Beach, there is a Farmer’s Market to explore. The Grand Lagoon Waterfront Market looks really fun, and scoping out the local market can be a fun way to grab fresh produce for the hotel room and discover local flare… it’s local, it’s fresh and it’s a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

I’m thinking of booking my stay at the Marriott Legend’s Edge– it looks gorgeous!  The pools look fabulous and of course, it offers free internet.  Bloggers never stop working, not even on vacation- plus it offers an onsite spa and other amenities that I am excited to check out.  I’m also looking into the Holiday Inn Resort, which has rooms with amazing balconies and views… it’s so hard to choose, can I be at the beach right now?

I’ve been Pinning all of my favorite things I plan on doing when I’m down in Panama City Beach- along with the outfits I want to pack.  I am in desperate need of a new swimsuit, this is going to be such a fun trip!

While I’m down there, I’m going to be planning a spa trip- I’m looking at Indigo Earth Spa for some of their specials..including a 2 hour package that includes a hot stone massage, milk + honey hydro bath a facial for $160…that my friends, is  a bargain.  It’s called the Heavenly Journey package… and I’m hoping it’s just as heavenly as it sounds!  I need a vacation!

I’m from PC, and I would suggest coming into town and going to Just The Cook. It’s a food boat, and it is absolutely delicious! Also in that area is Floriopolis, a cute art place. Really I would suggest exploring that entire area. It’s called St Andrews, but it isn’t the same as the state park.
I hope you enjoy your visit!
