My {Insane} Goals: September

September 1, 2011

My Insane Goals!

Grad school is back in full force, p’wning me and my life so I’m going to go for these crazy goals best I can.  I’m going to have to keep everything oober-organized and prioritize, which can be terribly hard when your studies, your work and the need for “me time” are all equally important!

You can place your bets on how well I do now.    Heck, you could even help with one and vote for me for Best Frugality Blog at the Plutus Awards!  I’ll be attending the Financial Blogger Conference at the end of the month, and you can totally help me celebrate my goals by putting in a vote, THANK YOU!

Huge thanks to Rebekah for inspiring me to set  goals and go public about them!  See her blog (or click the above pic) to sign up to share your goals.

Everyone needs "a pair of knee-high argyle socks" in their monthly goals 🙂

    good luck!

I think acquiring cute socks is a good goal to have! 😉 Plus, when I start feeling the pain of my stats class, finding cute socks is a smart rescue maneuver. Hahah

  2. Girl, I am in awe of your fruit & veggie goal! I know that is how everybody is suppose to eat, but I didn't think anyone actually did!! haha! Best of luck to you with all your goals!

Thank you Rebekah, I am going to stick with it because I know I have to answer to YOU and our fellow goal bloggers at the end of the month! haha

I like your comment about passing Statistics! Made me giggle. For me…that was THE ONLY math class that I *ever* in my entire life…got an A on! I couldn't believe it. It was the only type of math that made 'sense' to me. You're a very smart gal…you'll do great!

Thanks Alana! I know I took stats in undergrad but graduate level stats is a whole different animal! Everyone in the class seems to be biting their finger nails already! I only have 4 more classes (including the three I'm in now) to graduate so I'm ready to kick butt and pass so I can be d-o-n-e done! Thanks for stopping by, I always love your comments 🙂

  4. Congratulations on your nomination. I will go there and vote for you.

Oh I like the geek chic fashion goal, I need to do that too. I'm right there with you on the fruits and veggies (and less carbs). I recently bought a rice cooker/vegetable steamer and it's a life saver. Put in the veggies, set the timer and multitask other chores while waiting. It's a life saver.

Ya, I've been getting into rice and veggies lately since it's easier to keep on the shelf (esp if you have frozen veggies) and it's easy to cook..don't have a rice cooker yet!

As for the geek chic fashion goal- I've contact a few companies to see if they're on board, waiting to hear back. I know that many of my readers love stuff like that (I know I do!) so each week will have a different nerdy or geeky theme that can be incorporated into fashion beyond a simple graphic tee and pair of jeans…I'm going all out! 🙂 I am still pondering how it will all come together! Thanks for the comment!
