This last week was a whirlwind! I got a last-minute job interview so had to fly across the country- which meant running downtown for drinks, friend time and shopping on a mission (oh darn!).
After a busy week, I finally took the weekend to enjoy the city, roam around and go for long walks at the zoo and lake side!
Last minute shopping for business attire and other fineries by Water Tower in Downtown Chicago / Shoe distractions at ALDO, so sparkly! I love the cutout on the inner sides. / Piña Coladas with friends at the top of the Hancock Tower / My kind of bus… “Inner Drive!”
The gorgeous evening view from the top of the Hancock Center which is my favorite spot in Chicago! If you’re ever in Chicago, meet me at the Signature room!
I finally scored a pinstripe blazer with polka dot cuffs & navy khakis for my interview…and splurged on a new Betsey Johnson watch from Nordstrom Rack! I would seriously wear this outfit any time, not just for business get togethers!
On Saturday I went on a date (I know, right?) to the Lincoln Park Zoo to enjoy the sights of the city, the animals and of course- flamingos (my favorite!) The zoo is free (yay for frugality!) and as long as you can cope with humidity, it’s a great way to spend a summer day!
After roaming around the city, we ended up at the beach to cool off with a nice cold Corona light and enjoy the view of the sky line from the lake. The zoo & parks in Chicago are gorgeous in the summer!
