the smoothies recipe for healthy foods

If you’re looking for a healthy diet for cheap the key I’ve found to make it easy to have a healthy meal you must find a good smoothie recipe!

So, how to make smoothies that fit a budget and ease the waist line?  Easy.  Throw whatever you’ve got in a blender- especially the stuff you wouldn’t eat whole (I’m lookin’ at you spinach!) and call it a smoothie!

Curious on how to smoothie your way into a slimmer figure, higher energy level & finally make breakfast a habit?  Read on my brothas & sistas-  I will show you the way to make a healthy diet for the broke, busy & veggie-hating person in literally under a minute!

Why You’ll Love Smoothies:

I’ve never been able to make healthy habits stick before.  I would always start with good intentions- spending money on stocking the fridge with fresh fruits and leafy greens.  Any time things got busy I’d reach for the quickest meal options, leaving the fresh stuff to languish in the crisper.

For over a month I’ve had a smoothie for breakfast every day and sometimes, for lunch or a supplementary snack.

In one month of drinking a smoothie for breakfast, I’ve been able to go through my veggies without wasting them, have cut my grocery bill down and yes- my waist line too!

What’s in a smoothie?  Whatever I have on hand!

Typically I stock the following:

The best part about smoothies is being able to use whatever you have on hand.  Spinach from salads that’s about to go bad can add some vitamins to your fruity concoction and peanut butter or flax seed which has a long shelf life can be added for texture.

cheaper than Jamba Juice - freeze extra blueberries

How To Keep Your Smoothies Frugal:

If you’re looking to get healthy and can’t make it stick or you think you don’t have time to get your fix of 5 fruits + veggies a day, can you spare a minute and throw some stuff in a blender?

I cannot believe the success I’ve had at making breakfast a habit and improvement this simple change has made in my energy levels and the way my jeans fit!    Do you have any tips for making smoothies? What do you love to sip on?

Love the frozen fruit idea in the ice cubes! Never thought about that

It's so funny- for the longest time, I hadn't either though I buy frozen fruit all the time! If you buy fresh fruit on sale, have too much or know you can't consume it before it goes bad- put it in ice cubes with water (or juice) and that way it will add a nice cold slush to your smoothies so you don't have to add plain ice!

I love being able to score things on sale but I can't use them in time so this really helps cut down on waste!

I love smoothies for snacks, but when I use them as a meal (like breakfast) I find that I'm hungry again in an hour or so. I normally have to add a starch or protein to go along with it. A piece of toast or a boiled egg alongside my smoothie.

I like the smoothies, especially when they are made out of fresh fruits that I love, plus the texture ad its color.

Thanks so much for giving my family an update on this subject on your website. Please realise that if a new post becomes available or when any modifications occur to the current post, I would be thinking about reading more and focusing on how to make good usage of those tactics you talk about. Thanks for your time and consideration of other people by making this web site available.

I certainly ought to get out a little more not to mention stop spending a great deal of of my morning playing poker on myspace or facebook only because of late i have been unable to ready about this. Although I can’t say that I completely agree with every single concept, it is excellent to browse through some keen writings as an alternative for the regular trash I find flying all over the web.
