Dreaming of Panama City Beach, Florida. My Upcoming Trip

I’m really excited to have finally locked down the details for a weekend getaway to Panama City Beach, Florida!  I’m going to be traveling to PCB at the end of May and just booked my flight and hotel for a three day trip.  The water l0oks gorgeous, the sunshine is inviting and there are a few fun things planned for my getaway trip- besides lounging by the pool or on the beach and getting a tan.

Yes, if you need me, I’ll be poolside with this gorgeous view.  (source.)

I looked over a few hotels in the area, and wanted to get something that was directly on the water, had free wifi, a great lounge area for relaxing outside by the water and also provided a great value for my money.  I decided on the Holiday Inn Resort at Panama City Beach- it boasted some gorgeous views and had rooms overlooking the water and direct beach access.  Additionally, it’s right in the middle of the action- still being close to the state parks, boardwalk and local tourist destinations to explore.

Sunset tours with Dolphin & Snorkel in PCB (source)

Panama City Beach, Florida is pretty famous for it’s gorgeous beaches and animal life- especially dolphins.  I have signed up for a great boat tour of Shell Island with Dolphin and Snorkel Tours.  They have a Shell Island Eco tour which gives you a chance to experience the local ecology and see it up close and personal.  They also have a gorgeous Sunset Tour, it was really hard to choose which one to do!  I have heard nothing but great things about Captain Lorraine, the tour guide- and you know, that might just be a potential career change for me later on incase this whole social media/blogger thing doesn’t work out.  😉

Local tours on paddleboard this has been on my wishlist!  (source).

Additionally, I’m trying something new I’ve never done- boarding and snorkeling with Walking on Water Paddleboard Tours.  They offer some awesome looking waterway tours, where you paddleboard your way through PCB- so you get some gorgeous sights and some exercise to boot.  I’ve signed up for the 4 hour river tour- I’m a bit nervous that I will be clumsy and ridiculous the whole time, but the Trip Advisor reviews have assured me that I’ll be fine for the River Tour or the Sunset Tour…eek!

I’m also going to spend some time enjoying Pier Park for some shopping and eating- there are a ton of restaurants in the day, and I read that it’s a good place to enjoy the local flavor.  There’s also Panama City Beach Winery to check out which had over 500 positive reviews on Trip Advisor and I’m told is a must-see for PCB.

I am counting the days until my trip to PCB at the end of May!  I ordered some iPhone lenses and a waterproof case for it to take some videos while paddleboarding…it’s going to be an awesome trip!

  1. I want to go on the cruise! I’ve also never been to Pier Park. I only want to PCB once about 15 years ago and it wasn’t nearly as nice as it look now.
