Betsey Johnson, shoes from GoJane.com and Everyday Minerals, OH MY! Let’s ring in spring with fresh new colors and tweedy textures for spring 2012. If you’re looking for inspiration for spring 2012 fashion experiment with color, texture & layers. Adding a few new tights, or a geeky/fun pair of knee high socks with a clunky pair of heels or trying a few new makeup colors with a petal-inspired blush will make you radiate warmth with the freshness of spring.
First things first- the Betsey Johnson tights from Haute Look
I enrolled in HauteLook and get emailed daily deals for awesome brands like Betsey Johnson, Urban Decay, Dr. Scholl’s and Miz Mooz. Shipping is set at a standard rate of $7.95 which can be kind of a drag, but if you’re buying 3 pairs of shoes at 40% off or more? It’s so awesome.
This is one of several HauteLook Hauls- I’ve also purchased a pair of Miz Mooz Sandals and Boots, Urban Decay Eye Primer and some adorable Dr. Scholl’s shoes from HauteLook for 50% off. These Betsey Johnson tights from Haute Look were a steal at $8 a piece, you can’t get them that cheap at even Marshall’s or Nordstrom Rack! If you’d like to sign up for Haute Look I’d love you to use my HauteLook referral link to sign up!
Secondly- fabulous tweed heels from GoJane.com
GoJane sent me these gorgeous heels and I adore them. They have a ton of amazingly trendy shoes in wedges, flats and pumps that are ridiculously cheap. If you are a big fan of Forever 21 or Charlotte Russe, check out GoJane- they have an even bigger selection of adorable shoes and the price is right.
These fun, funky and chunky heeled tweed pumps come in several colors- black, pink, blue, beige, and yes- orange! I actually wear an 8.5 and an 8 fit like a dream, so if you need to size down you might be able to pull it off. They would pair well with lacy white socks, some cute hosiery or even a pair of jeans!
I haven’t been able to wear them out since it’s been so icy, but wearing them around the apartment they fit really well and the ankle strap helps if you’re new to this heel height. The folks at GoJane were super helpful in helping me find the right fit (since they were sold out of 8.5) and the shipping was super speedy- I was totally happy with their prices & their service!
Finally- I got to try some gorgeous mineral makeup colors from Everyday Minerals.
I have to say, I am a big eyeshadow girl, but I have never been so blown away by a blush in my life. Their mineral cheek color in Pink Ribbon is now my new favorite blush, it’s the perfect shade of pink!
Additionally, I got to try their pearl eye color in Hot Chocolate, Floating Feathers, and In The Garden.
I’ve used many mineral makeups in the past, but never have I been so impressed with a mineral cosmetic line that was so highly pigmented and easy to apply at such a favorable price point. Now thanks to my friend Andrea, I’m hooked on Everyday Minerals!
Are there any fashion and beauty trends you want to try for spring 2012? What color combos get you giddy? Any textures you’re dying to try?
I was not compensated for this review, I was given product to try but it does not impact my opinion whatsoever.
